I've just gotten to the point I can't keep up with all the garbage game companies do so to a point at least when it comes to getting games I quit trying.
So, I buy games either because they've been out a couple years and information I can gather on it makes me comfortable the game is good enough. This rules out a ton of these political companies on their own, because their BS ruins the games. Seeing Gearbox on the list is a prime example of this, their games suck because of the politics.
Or, if I'm playing it with friends/family. I don't have a ton of gaming buddies but they are all people I know offline as well. Hanging out in games has become a good male camaraderie activity for us that can be a lot more impromptu than actually going somewhere. None of us are really woke anyway, but a multiplayer requirement is limiting. I relax requirements a bit for that.

"buy" games. What a quaint notion!
