Like I said in another thread. If there's one thing the most successful entertainment product of all-time needs, it's to radically change itself in order to appeal to a broader market.
It's funny how no one wants to diversify or "update" stuff that has failed. Diversity and inclusion and feminism are these magical "cure all" solutions, but they are only ever administered to already-successful creations.
