That’s not what happened at all. Slavs were the highest demanded slaves across the board. Sclavus became the word for slave because of the intentional targeting of a race for slaves. The same can not be said for any other race that was historically slaves…. Slavs were neither the first slaves or the majority of slaves, they were however the most targeted.
