If there is one thing that Trump was inexplicably bad at, it was either being unable to detect snakes in his midst or somehow being corrupted to the point he felt he had to allow it. I never thought that would be the case with him, but over and over, case after case, opportunists and charlatans, happily undermining him. I really thought when he was elected that he would seek out people who weren't part of the swamp. Birx screamed underqualified and overpromoted from day one.
