Eh, not really. Most STEM PhDs (say, 80-90%) are completely useless.

Ha! I see what you mean. The problem is that you and I can immediately discard a grievance studies degree. We might take "phylogenetics" seriously, and thus think that some chick legit has something useful to say. So these chick-STEM degrees are somehow even more subversive!
