Aussies are idiots. I've never interacted with an intelligent one online. It's always just straight to insults and edgy obscene language, never any coherent thoughts.
Add to that a show that's widely known for killing your brain cells, and you have a double whammy of stupid.
I don't think that the people I was talking about were actually Australian. At least not most of them. As I said, it's Seppos who are so sad that they actually watch the Aussie version, even "live", in the wrong time zone, I almost guarantee you that, lol...
And the threads I linked to are about the American show, and the American ("parent") subreddit, which is where all of this went down...
Show is a Dutch concept. I think the Australian version may even predate the Yankee one. However Reddit is obviously largely Americans, and the sub, of course, largely reflects that. As you might expect...
I agree about the show killing your brain cells, though. No argument from me, there. But that's the whole point. It's a guilty pleasure. It shouldn't become an "obsession", though, like it obviously has for some people there. That's when it becomes a bit of a worry, lol...
Anyway, I mainly watched the few eps of the current series that I did because I have a vague (very vague) connection to the woman who ended up winning. Like, we've almost certainly met a couple of times, albeit decades ago, lol. So... That's why I wanted to watch, and discuss it. To see her win. In a totally different format. Nearly 20 years after the first time. That's pretty much the only reason I cared, lol.
She also has, oddly, a health issue that I also have, and have similar struggles with, so I guess that... Made me care more, too.
Sometimes trash is more than just "trash" alone, I guess.
I'm Aussie as well but the amount of leftist Aussie fuckheads that are out there is way to high.
On reddit as soon as a I see r/Melbourne in their history I know I'm about to read some retarded horseshit. The mod causing a lot of the drama at the moment on the comicbook sub is an Aussie.
Those r/politics threads that are anti Trump are full of Aussies giving their two cents about local American politics.
Leftist Australians are some of the most arrogant, narcissistic retards that are out there. The false confidence and delusion they have is over the fucking top.
The Project did a story where the hosts had travelled overseas and they were exclaiming how every other country no longer gave a shit about Covid. They were incredulous. They just couldn't beleive it. They don't realize that for the majority of the world it wasn't as big a deal as we made it. They did not have the psychotic response that we did. They do not understand that they are authoritarian who operate purely on emotion and that's not how everyone else operates. They have no principles, they have no morals so they don't understand when people have them and stand by them.

Gee, thanks. We really are not all like this.

Tl;Dr Aussie leftists are loud morons.
I'd agree with this...speaking as an Australian. Too many leftist dipshits who run on emotion over logic.
