What universe do these people live in where "long covid" is running rampant? I maintain to this day people would have had no idea there was a "deadly disease" if the screens weren't telling them it's such a big deal all the time. At worst they would have thought the flu was kinda bad in 2020.

If the article makes no mention of 'chronic cough' and 'post viral fatigue or post viral syndromes'
These are conditions that are well known and well studied that can occur after any respiratory infection. From RSV to coronoviruses to rhinoviruses and influenza.
If the article doesn't mention these, or make any attempt to look at how common it is with these diseases vs the wuhan coronavirus, it's bunk.
I knew there would be some of it in jan 2020. Because it happens with every other infection like it. But these special people are convincing themselves they have something unique, new, and untreatable.
THAT is what long covid is, it's hysteria over something pretty mundane.
