They don't care that they are hypocrites.
Hopefully the normies they seek to exploit do.
Hypocrisy is part of their plan. Repressive Tolerance = anything the left does is good because it's in the name of progress, everything the right does must be quashed and silenced because it's against progress.

Hypocrisy also encourages doublethink, which discourages actual thinking for oneself. Its a form of mind control for the adherent since they will ultimately end up too confused to process reality (demoralization). The Message(TM) is then substituted for Reality.
