I have very strict moral restrictions on my own actions, because I know I am emotional and easily tempted to rash action. I'm often tempted to become violent, and don't do so, because I've managed to build those restrictions into my psyche.

I really want them to try. Because dear Lord, are they in for some very fast end-of-life learning.
