I don't know this lady in particular (except from a video of her embarrassing some CNN reporter).
But it's clear to me that several conservative politicians are just playing heel. And some of them are really good at it, as she seems to be. Trump laid out the blueprints, and many followed in his wake.
It's not that Trump invented this kind of political persona (Bolsonaro had been playing this character for a while), but he proved that in the current political climate, a heel could be president.
So yeah, great zingers and one liners humiliating CNN may feel great, but she's not a comedian or a YouTube pundit. She's supposed to be a goddamn leader. Sassy remarks to reporters ain't gonna cut it, this isn't 2016.
