It's just a pity they don't have the balls to sink the ships.

It really is.

How many illegal migrants died in that one one truck full of corpses they found? How many have drowned the channel?

One sinking is all it would take to send the message to 99% of the others that we are closed. Hell, we might not even need to sink it - just the videos of warning shots being posted online might do the job.
