Most people who are into politics (including the so called based) are just midwit consoomers looking for online pundits, so they can hear their own opinion in a more articulate and intelligent presentation.

They look at said internet personalities (or TV ones) from a position of inferiority, and feel proud of themselves when they hear their favorite pundit echoing what they think (because that means they are also intelligent like the guys they admire).
