Did the opening credits even list more than the 2 guys Al and Sam?
The future wasn't the point of the show. It all took place in the past with very few exceptions. Outside of AL the rest of the place could have been automated by Ziggy the super computer.
This is coming off like someone who caught a few reruns, or was told to do something with the IP so NBC didn't loose it, trying to shoehorn their views into something they don't understand.
The ending was good and I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who thought he met God.
