I use the “more than I need” with family and friends and people I trust to not be leeches. I have no interest in helping those who’s only effort to help themselves is to expect me to give them something. I didn’t grow up rich and I’ve worked pretty much continuously since I was old enough to do my best to take care of myself and I have little respect for those that aren’t doing the same.
