The issue isn't America, shit like this is everywhere and as a European I will shit on any others from Europe who say it only happens in America. The issues are much broader than "muh ebil right wing guns hur dur". I hate this attitude BTW, looking down in the Americans for something that is happening here as well. Just recently there was a guy with a crossbow in Germany, it isn't the guns that are the issue and people saying that have an agenda.
