Honestly, the biggest reason I’m going is because of the Smash tournament, but as I don’t just wanna hole myself up in a hotel on Thursday and Friday, I actually wanna enjoy myself some so I did find stuff I wanna do, but outside of that, what experience do you guys have with conventions?
Are there actually after parties late at night where people hook up? How much leftist BS should I be equipped to handle? How much water should I bring? I just have a lot of questions and not enough answers, because I wanna have a very good weekend, but idk what I should be prepared for.
Edit: It’s Momocon in Atlanta.
I haven’t been to Momo (wanted to this year but $$) but I’ve been to a few including MTAC which was hyping up Momo & I’d say for the most part the experience is usually positive but here’s a few things that may help
Bring a refillable water bottle. Most venues have the refillable water fountains and this is usually better than lugging a ton of water bottles or buying $$$$ Dasani shit
People for the most part don’t really ree about the virus/whateverTf is going on. Most everyone is trying to have a good time and doesn’t wana deal with everything going on. Hell most likely they’re going for the same reason you are. They wana get away from the shitshow called life. You may comedians or a wanker panelIt’s mention it but for the most part it’s not as bad as the internet makes it
To tie into #2 People for the most part are willing to interact with each other. The crazy stay tf away from me attitude is pretty much done and people are willing to take photos hang out and socialize. Just fall in to a group of chill people and see what happens. People are definitely partying at cons considering the size of Momo I’d expect to see a few errant liquor bottles here or there
Lastly Corona rules may/may not be enforced. Unfortunately most cons have shit hoops to jump through (though I was able to attend a good size one in my home city with no mask or vax pass) however when I went to MTAC their mask mandate was falling apart around late Friday night. Most people weren’t wearing them and even enforcement was dropping especially when you have staff not wearing them.. On another non-convention note I had to attend a work event with a vaxx pass or negative test with even more wankerish people than weebs & a Picture of piece of paper with my name and a home test was enough to be let in.
Sure shit may suck today but going to a few is a needed white pill this year
