The Imperium of Man stands as a cautionary tale of what could happen should the very worst of Humanity’s lust for power and extreme, unyielding xenophobia set in.

That's such a total spit in the face of their own product, it's difficult to believe they wrote it. It's doesn't ring even remotely true to anyone with even a cursory knowledge of the lore.
