Edit: Both versions are back up. Given that I still don't see anything approximating backlash, I'm going to give BN the benefit of the doubt here. They wouldn't have rolled an intentional change back this quickly without taking any flak.
Maybe the mods can hook the post up with a 'misleading' flair or something. I went ahead and asked; doesn't look like I can add one myself, and there's some decent discussion down below, so I'm hesitant to just nuke the thread.
I was waiting for them to fix some performance issues (frame rate drops, save corruption) on PC, and dropped in to check it out, only to find that there's no 'game-only' listing anymore, only the 'deluxe edition' with soundtrack (I don't care about it) and digital artbook (again, I don't care about it).
Assuming this isn't somehow a mistake, this decision earns a solid "What the fuck, Bandai Namco?" from me.
I didn't find any other posts about the price increase, and SteamDB doesn't show the change, so it seems to be a relatively recent development. The wayback machine and other archives appear to be biting on a rock (the age-gate on the page), so I haven't been able to narrow down when this happened.
Has to be a mistake, Bamco isn’t that greedy. Hell EA isn’t even that greedy. Modern day R*, maybe.
On the topic of performance I’ve noticed it’s much better as of the recent patch, Im playing on max settings with some reshades and such and I haven’t gotten any stutter since I updated.
There are still some people complaining about infinite loading screens after certain bosses and cutscenes, so that’s something to watch out for. When I get back there on my next replay hopefully it’ll be fixed.
