Stranger's Wrath spends the first half of the game with the main character being convinced he needs an experimental surgery to lop of a huge chunk of his biology because he needs it to "survive." After years of hiding what he actually is from everyone to fit in better.
They have all been on Steam and dirt cheap (like 20$ for the entire series in 2013) for a long time, and its well worth playing. Though given they were ported that long ago a bit of tech is needed to get them actually working.
They are all full of great applicability, and often times able to be so without a Left/Right split on issues.
