I think subject matter makes a difference too. If it’s written as in a sentence that someone would probably say in casual conversation you can guess it’s a southerner vs a preachy sentence = sjw. Also their adoption of the word folks or even more irritating folx
I’m not too fond of giving up a word that’s been used forever in a section of the US because leftist mouth breathers decided to adopt it.
In conversation, no problem. Written, it's intended to convey a faux folksiness used by those very leftoid mouth-breathers.
