And with subtitles as he struggles to speak his grandmother's native tongue? This is beyond standard corporate virtue signaling. With the “She might be my mother, but you are my son?” Looks a lot like an attempt to glamourize the rejection of your elders and tradition. Need to train those 2nd and 3rd generation kids to not listen to anyone but the mass media.

I thought the exact same thing.
