Well, I'd say it would have been an apt reason to fire her. Creating a sequel to a classic children's novel by a beloved author and making it all about race is definitely what I would call cultural insensitivity (to put it mildly). But we all know that's not why she was fired, and this Ava person sounds like an absolute complete piece of shit.
