The problem is it is happening across the country, not just Florida. Unfortunately only Florida, Idaho, and Texas seem to care to do anything about it.

Yeah, I realize I worded that poorly. I know this shit is happening everywhere. What I mean is that both stories are from Florida, so OP or whoever made the connection can't be accused of taking 2 stories and juxtaposing them for effect.
