A reminder Glukhovsky was right about Sapkowski, he's really an "old fool" (and a "miserable drunkard bastard").
Several years ago Glukhovsky just canceled the Hollywood adaptation of Metro once he heard they wanted to Americanize it and returned their money. And did all he could to help the game devs, while Sapkowski publicly hated and sued them.
(Also Glukhovsky releases books for free online, and lets fans publish their fanfiction commercially if he only approves it as good enough. Based af.)
Sapkowski also thought he was getting over CD Projekt Red and that the games were going to fail. So he literally sued cause he was butthurt and took all his money up front.
Meanwhile he still made a fortune because tons of people who would have literally never heard of what was at the time only popular in Poland went out and brought books.
Sapkowski also shilled himself out by writing another Witcher book after the games came out and after claiming that he was done with the series and it has a finite end. That book was basically poorly written fan fiction.
He thought they're not even going to release it, just as they didn't finish a Die By the Sword clone The Witcher from the late 1990s and then an another one later.
