You think the DEA wants drug dealers to disappear?
You think churches want sinning to disappear?
There's been several times people have tried to reduce rape with reasonable measures and find themselves attacked and dismissed by feminists.
Someone did a study that if they basically trained women to verbalize what they did and didn't want to do and rape accusations dropped by like half. Feminists had a fit and you've probably never heard about it again.
Someone put up posters warning women consuming massive amounts of alcohol was the thing highest correlated with rape. Immediately came under attack from feminists.
They have a bunch of other excuses, but after you see this for a while you realize the one thing in common is that they don't actually want it to go away.
That's not even getting into the feminist campaign against men who recorded their sex so they could prove they didn't do anything without consent - feminist declared this "offensive" and "degrading" yada yada yada how dare a man be able to prove he didn't rape someone, rather than constantly being afraid of fake accusations.
Women would never want MeToo to end
If you see this play out in real life groups usually it dies off on it's own as it gives the most power to the psychopathic and autistic women in the group, and the other women get tired of them constantly stealing all the attention away to endlessly obsess on their pet topic. The women obsessed with the topic either learn to be quiet, to get attention other ways, or they get kicked out by the other women in the group.
Because it's weaponized for power and politics, the only thing that stops it is when the party pushing it starts losing elections, which is why I've seen feminist subs start banning users and deleting comments from hyper aggressive women after the dems lost that election in virginia. I'm - sigh - sure they're trying to save it up for another round of this b.s. in another few decades after the memory of the previous time wears off.
One of the comments described it perfectly:
