A mutual friend—now estranged—gave another friend a hard drive way back with a bunch of pirated games and movies and such on it. Among that was a bunch of stuff that’s basically kiddy porn and some of it even weirder. He thought he was doing him a favor or something, or maybe it was a joke, we didn’t know. No longer in touch with that guy.

I imagine things like that happen more than you’d think. Then there’s the YouPorn kind of sites out there that used to freely let people post their own community porn that largely got purged after PornHub realized Hunter Biden had an account with videos of girls that were most likely underaged on there. On a technical level, there’s probably a lot more underaged porn out there than people realize. If a girl looks mature enough and is pretty, but legally can’t work yet, and grows up with that stuff being glamorized, it’s only natural that would happen. Probably very common among Asian girls in porn since they typically look younger forever.

Legally it’d be a nightmare to deal with all that. They’ve probably even had girls like that in ads on pornsites or something, so technically people probably had images of naked underaged girls having sex on their computer in a mostly involuntary way too.

Public acceptance of pornography and masturbation in general was a bad idea. I see no real upside to it. Some of the girls used to make decent money but if they’re hot enough and great at sex they could have just been trophy wives or something. I don’t think it should be illegal but a return to shame would only be productive.
