I recently read Kenobi by John Jackson Miller. It is a Star Wars book that takes place in the old EU/Legends timeline. The story basically reads like a space western since while he has to watch over baby Luke, he gets involved in disputes between the settlers and Tusken Raiders.
I don't have Disney Plus anymore and pretty much the only Star Wars content I consume is the old EU books and comic books. I will never understand why Disney didn't just use those for a sequel plot or what idiot had the idea to not have Luke in episode 7 and then to have him as a grumpy hermit. They could've easily done it like DC where they have their canon stuff and then have animated movies adapted from the Thrawn Trilogy or NJO.
I remember when I heard that Disney bought Star Wars because they wanted something that appealed to boys. I can't believe that is true.
Bought that recently. In my pile to read
Name of the Wind and its sequel are super long but easy to read, add that too, and preferably bump them up to the top. They're fantasy.
