Not that I don't agree. I just refuse to accept the ubiquity of this state of affairs. Because I need some hope to cling to.
You can't live without hope. We already know this, from concentration camps and Jap POW camps of Allied soldiers in WW2, where some of my indirect ancestors died...
I may have given up hope in the immediate future of my country, but I haven't given up on all humanity. Not yet.
