It is 90s era woke.
So it seems decent by today's standards. It really reads as something my younger, formerly more liberal self would write as an adolescent. The story beats and characters are all old tropes, but when everyone these days tries to subvert, the old tactics become refreshing. Regardless, fuck Netflix and pirate this shit. It is an ok show to put on while exercising, but not worth dedicated time.
Yes, Vi is an obvious working class lesbian, there is nothing wrong with that dynamic between her and the rich girl going through a phase, it is easily believable and comical for everyone who went to college.
