I just get tired of “muh standard of living” arguments, mainly over at LDS-AU, when I say that I would prefer to leave (extremely wealthy) Australia, for (middle income) Poland…
Sorry for assuming you were the same.
I guess, see, I’m personally not wealthy. I’ve never been personally wealthy. So for me, living in a country that might actually kill me, and that won’t allow me to work, anyway, vs one with no… “Social safety net”, as a foreigner, but which will allow me to live, as a relatively “free” hombre..?
I would choose the latter. Every time. 😑
I can see how that would be different if you have kids, a wife, your own home. But I don’t, and there is zero chance of ANY of that, in the near future, so… Why would I stay in a fascist, if rich, place, when I personally get nothing from it… 😞
Do you see my point, kinda?
I’m a poor man living in a rich man’s “paradise”, and it’s really not great…
Oh. Ok. Fair enough…
