I saw a pretty funny article about why Yellowstone was so popular. I wasn't going to click on it, but since it was the AV Club I told myself that it's almost a guarantee that somewhere in the article would be some attack about how white people like it. Of course I wasn't wrong. The writer of the article couldn't understand how the show was so popular when it didn't have much buzz online. Of course as you know they couldn't resist whining about the lack of diversity because in current year a good show is determined by diversity/inclusion.
Yellowstone, Better Call Saul, and Blue Bloods are pretty much the only non-animated current shows I watch. I haven't seen 1883 because I am not getting paramount plus for one show and also because they suck with modern day Star Trek.
I used to think networks and streaming services would see the popularity of Yellowstone or Blue Bloods as a lesson but I was wrong. Hallmark had great ratings and gave their demographic what they wanted, but they have foolishly listened to the morons on social media and now it looks like there will be gay side characters and they are already complaining that it isn't enough. Hopefully Yellowstone won't cave, but I think the next season will be the last.
As someone who loves Leave it to Beaver and Father Knows Best I could almost guarantee a show made today that celebrates the traditional family would do well. However it would do well with the "wrong people".
Thanks for the warning. I heard the next season will be the last so I hope that isn’t the case.
For sure! I live in Texas in the Dallas/Ft Worth area. I love Texas but want to move further out eventually. I have to work in the office twice a week so that helps with gas. A lot of Californians have moved to the state. To be fair quite a few are conservatives but a lot of businesses are moving to the state from California and that brings jobs but also leftists.
Californians are flooding western Montana?
Pisses me off. These lefties created California, they should stay.
I only know Dallas Ft Worth Area but Tarrant County is less Liberal than Dallas county but if you are totally remote and can move further out there is Haslet, Justin, Mineral Wells, Decatur. In the metroplex I live in the HEB area and Keller, Frisco, and Plano have nice areas.
