I forget where I first heard about this game but I gave it a try and it is a lot of fun, particularly in co-op. The world is made of familiar minecraft blocks and pixel graphics but the gameplay focuses on the survival aspects and building your settlement.
Particularly interesting is the voxel-based crafting where you knap one voxel at a time to create stone tools, or lay out clay in one voxel layer at a time to create pottery. You are following a pattern but even though it sounds tedious the gameplay feels very immersive.
The initial goal is to not starve. Then improve your technology and efficiency so you can store enough food to make it through the winter.
I spent many hours both solo and even better in co-op with a friend. If you have kids this would be a good one to play together with them.
Overall highly recommended as long as you can handle the minecraft-style graphics.
