Yes, the rapist is only thinking about his/her/its own wants and motivations; it's exactly how the longer, larger evolutionary "purpose" of spreading genes around works. And sex is pretty much the one "primal biological urge" (like hunger and thirst) that doesn't really affect the survival of the individual.
