It is but people are resisting and it has the benefit of having older editions and rules so unless you're big tournament player and only go to GW sanctioned ones you're fine. I still play 7th edition for example because 8th started going but 9th went Skyrim and removed a lot of the older aspects in favor of ease of accessibility. Like blast templates because people are dumb and didn't know how to use them right. Plus there's the old books and GW screwed themselves last year by saying "everything is canon but not everything is true" so now people are free to ignore the woke shit as the untrue part of that statement. 3rd party sellers, 3rd printing and off brand copies of models are also easily available so GW doesn't need to get a single penny from you to play with friends or at your local store.
