Perhaps the plurality of women want their own private spaces, and find spaces for men useful because when men are there their own spaces are uncontested. There is another segment who are essentially children, who desire their own private spaces but all the benefits that come (to them) from a fully integrated society, and then there is the third group of horrid cunts who actively enjoy making men miserable and destroying what they love.
