Site owners who have no interest in visiting Australia would just ignore it and advise users to tell everyone to use a secure vpn.
I could easily get away with this in america, especially if I do not process transactions or sell a service, but if I am big enough and manage to anger australia enough as a canadian, I don't know if the crown will allow australia to escalate it to that level...
I'm pretty sure New Zealand tried to do this a few times and were laughed out of the room every time.
Maybe Australia is big enough to matter but I kinda doubt it
It'll just end up with most sites banning Australian IP addresses with the tacit understanding that everyone is just using a VPN anyway.
