My boss (the CFO) has no desire to enforce the mandate. He's vaccinated but he only cares that our work gets done and he couldn't care less if we work remotely.
The CEO wants to enforce it but more than half of our employees work remotely and therefore they are exempt. If he enforces the mandate in the cities where we have offices, it would likely lead to many employees moving to different states so they wouldn't be subject to working from the office. (we're technically supposed to go to the office if we live within a 40 mile radius, but that went out the window with Covid)
For now, they're taking a wait and see approach but my boss (CFO) told me that as long as it's his decision, his team will not be required to go to the office and therefore are exempt.
If they’re worth their salt, the mandates should be the least of their worries. Product service pricing and employee salaries are going to be a nightmare for most companies to tread. Many companies will not be able to survive, and most will have higher turnover than usual.
I'm one step below the c-suite and so I'm involved in the discussions about annual raises and bonus payouts.
Leadership is very concerned about what's coming next year when employee evaluations are done.
Not sure I understand your question.
