That was years ago when T_D was still on reddit. They changed from vote-based post scores to algorithm based scores which factored in the popularity of a post, its age and possibly other things. IIRC they would boost the scores of popular, new content to get it to the top over old content.
Don't remember where exactly because it was quite a while ago.
i dont remember that besides admitting they reduced the scores on td to stop it from hitting the front page. idk if that means they boost other subs while limiting conservatives.
