Not sure where to post this that would generate most noticed:
There is very little new content on the web since the 2016 era which is when the UN bought up the web. I feel something really bad happened as things haven't fully recovered and with the recent set of powers in charge it's even worse! I thought it was bad enough under our old President and felt a change would be good but obviously no.
Financial Incentives/disincentives corrupt content creation, and human behavior in general. Much of the content created is developed with them in mind, which therefore controls what is produced. If Alphabet modifies their algorithms for YouTube or Google, people will adapt to better their situation. They could even create new trends if they artificially make certain content more prominent, it'll delude people into thinking it's more popular, resulting in it becoming more popular.
This really.
Youtube pretty much killed animation scene by demanding that video monetization starts at 10min length essentially killing all animators who could not produce 10 minutes of animation.
What follows is a nauseating formula of video blogs of 2 minute lengthily intros, 2 minutes of sponsorship, 2 minutes of actual point of the video, 2 minutes of thanking the subscribers and patreons and finally finished with 2 minutes of background music and videolinks to previous videos.
Is that why they repeat themselves instead of getting to the damn point in an endless chorus of babble?
