The German militarists and nationalists (not communists) have been allied with the Soviets in revenchism against France (and Poland and Czechoslovakia).

Same as later under Hitler, but also Britain finally stopped coddling Germany.

Previously Britain had supported the German Reich against the Poles (supported by France), especially during the wars of 1918-1921.
