I have long been of the belief that people who demand that the government "do something" about a problem are doing so to relieve themselves of the responsibility of "doing something."

They can piss and moan without any sort of meaningful sacrifice on their part, while basking in the warm glow of their own self-righteousness.

I'll take this video as more evidence that I'm correct.
