So the women who already exist in this story do not represent transgender women.

But transgender women are real women, and you’re a bigot for thinking otherwise.

But the transgender woman in the story needs to look exactly like a real woman because depicting “her” as obviously trans would suggest that trans women are not obviously female.

And they are obviously female. But obvious females don’t represent them.
