Love Chucky (and Brad Dourif) but holy shit I don't think I'll be able to watch any more of this complete garbage.
Every single woke stereotype you can think of is checked on this list.
And that's not to mention that the writing is god-awful, even without the woke crap. Chucky hanging out with middle schoolers - who thinks this shit up?
Tucker & Dale vs. Evil (horror comedy)
IMHO surpasses Shaun of the Dead as best horror comedy made.
"These kids just keep killing themselves in our woods" is one of the funniest lines I've ever heard.
Mandy!
I don't know if you can call it pure horror, more like surrealistic horror-thriller? Movie is a visual delight, and Nicholas Cage gives a fantastic performance, especially as he transitions through the movie to carry out certain deeds.
It can be quite gruesome and gory at times, definitely a trippy film, but it has a feel all its own, an awesome soundtrack, and some of the best color grading since the best films the 1980s had to offer.
Again, it's not for everyone, but it has no wokeness, and it features Nicholas Cage in an awesome chainsaw fight sequence while also carrying around one of the most wicked looking axes ever put to film.
Cage has actually been on a roll recently. Mandy, Colors Out of Space, Willy's Wonderland, Pig (took a 2nd viewing to enjoy that one).
You're right, Cage really is picking some interesting roles. I've enjoyed Mandy, Colors out of Space, and especially Willy's Wonderland, which is like Five Nights At Freddy's meets a badass John Carpenter hero hocked up on power-up juice. I love that movie!
I haven't seen Pig yet, but thanks for reminding me. I think I'll need to check it out sooner rather than later.
Although, I would advise people stay away from Jiu Jitsu. That film is horrible. I checked it out because of Cage and Frank Grillo, but man that movie was horrible.
I'll keep that in mind. Pig is very different, it's extremely slow paced and there is no big pay-off. It's advertised as a revenge film, which it isn't -
MINOR SPOILER: It's one man's personal journey in how to heal after his wife dies.
Most things on Shudder.com don't seem to have woke bullshit in it - although half of it is foreign, so that kinda makes sense.

Check out 'The Day of the Lord'
I fucking loved kills. The covid shit won't be until the third movie. Kills is a decent ending for me if Ends sucks.
Lords of Salem, Underwater, The Witch, the Autopsy of Jane Doe, 10 Cloverfield lane
