I'd probably put Newsweek as slightly more reputable than, say, CNN.. certainly more reputable than the Grauniad, but it's still MSM so can't let your guard down. But I don't really read Newsweek so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Don't let up! They can stealth edit the article, deep-six it, change things so it's tougher to find the original. Still plenty of good reasons for why articles need to be archived! That's a hill I'll die on dammit 🤣
