I'm sorry that someone hurt you like that. You were not responsible and should not feel you have to rush to straighten out your feelings so that some crazy harpy isn't offended. It's natural when someone is abused to fear the demographic that did it, women mention this all the time, but don't give males the same courtesy. Having anyone scream at you in public like some crazed person (who could potentially get violent) is enough to upset most people and you handled it better than most would. You're not a misogynist, they over use that word anytime they don't like something, it's thrown round in hopes of scaring their target into obeying, ignore it. People like horror movies, it is theorized, because it sort of helps better prepare us for bad things, so we can survive them, or so we can survive them the next time. So it's not a wonder that you or anyone would like horror films (and why they are so popular now with our societies going to hell). I tend to stay away from stuff like CH but have seen several other films on the video nasty list, which I'm looking over again now. Having seen some of those films recently it's amazing to me that they were categorized with CH. Shows you that "tasteless" can be very subjective and to really think about it before giving into any objectors.
