In university I saw way more ftm than mtf. And ftm always left my friend group asking the question of which way are they going. Because we figured it’s rude to ask so we were all trying to figure it out on our own. The final result never looked like a man, at best a boy. Which some 18-19 year old men do look very much like kids in their first year. But around year 4 if they still looked like a little kid and had a high pitched voice (or was out sick for a week or two and suddenly had a comically deep voice) it always answers the question.
