I don’t care if someone’s gay or anything else, but it is a step back to have that be the sole and unproductive center of their public and professed identity. It’s worse than a frat guy stereotype because at least the frat guy’s demonstrating skill in being able to acquire mates and care for himself and form relationships with his brotherhood and all that. The alphabet folk stereotype is ugly people bonding over misery and not only low standards but anti-standards. That’s definitely not all of them but it’s most of the ones that are vocal about it. You wouldn’t even know plenty of people are gay, like Tim Dillon, if he didn’t use it as the butt of jokes.

At least with women though, almost all of the gay ones have some kind of molestation type experience when they’re younger. There are strong arguments that at least for some people their sexual choices like that were influenced by those things. Either way, I don’t like the public parade of it that it’s become. You shouldn’t win a prize for your taste in sexual partners.
