They like elephant toothpaste and quantum locking and animated 3D renders of black holes. Spectacles that can be easily captured in a 10 second TikTok video. Their idea of "science" hasn't evolved since they were 8 years old. That being "cool thing happens when scientist performs a magic ritual".
It's basically the adult version of a clown making balloon animals. They laugh and clap without fully, or even partially, understanding how it happened. But understanding how it happened isn't necessary. All they need to know is that it looks cool.
Just for the hell of it I decided to go to iflscience dot com to see how right I was. There are exactly two kinds of article.
1: "INSANE thing happens WHOA DUDE it's CRAZY you'll NEVER BELIEVE number SEVEN"
2: MSM propaganda
I wasn't expecting the second type, but I'm also not surprised in the slightest. Seems like any site that deliberately attracts morons is full of propaganda. No correlation I'm sure.
Yeah, diyers are closer to "real" science lovers, honestly...
