Malazan Book of the Fallen is better. Is one of my favorite series and I pray to God that it does not get a live action adaptation.
Wheel of Time is a great series but it always feels like the author controls to much of how things turn out.
In Malazan it does not feel like the author it is forcing the story one way or another.
Strangely this is a big thing for me, it breaks my immersion.
