Because red flag laws are utterly misrepresented. Taking guns from people with a violent history already is a law on the books, and has been for a century or more.

Red flag laws give states the rights to take guns from people who they think might be dangerous, or are reported to be dangerous.

Its literally Minority Report'esque thought crime, but with less fucking evidence. You can literally lie and accuse, and remove a constitutional right from someone. Its bullshit.
